Varanasi, Benaras, Kashi. Known by many names, revered by many religions, the holy town of Varanasi is often pictured as a land of beautiful sunsets and unbridled spiritual energy. But looking beyond the pretty pictures painted with glowing hues of orange, we find that the true nature of this ancient city is derived from it's citizens, their quirks and their everyday culture.

This photographic journey takes us through the streets of Varanasi, exploring the ghats, the prayers and the weavers.
